Our First Volunteer Opportunities: "Sunny and Angel Save Christmas" at the Helen Woodward Animal Center


Join other NHS members and volunteer with us for a special opportunity to help kids, help animals and celebrate the holidays!! We'll be volunteering at the Helen Woodward Animal Center helping the kids at a holiday fundraising "party." We'll be assisting with crafts, pictures with Santa, reading stories to kids, registration and even assistance in the "barn," letting kids come in and visit with the animals.

We will be going to the events on the 9th and the 16th. You may volunteer at both events if you would like.

Remember: To keep your eligibility in NHS, you must complete the required 10 hours of service through NHS as well as 15 independent service hours, so take advantage of this special and convenient holiday event!!

You must fill out the registration form and fax or scan/email it in directly to the animal center. You must also email us when you receive a confirmation email from the Mrs. Laurie Doyle, the supervisor of this event.

Event Coordinator Applications Now Open


We are offering THREE Event Coordinator positions this year. Event Coordinators will scout for volunteer opportunities for NHS and help plan future events. We are looking for responsible and dependable individuals with great communication skills and creativity.

Applications are under the “Forms” tab. Turn in your application to Mr. Swanson no later than our next meeting, November 8th.
